What is NJ Pick 4?
Pick 4 is a number draw lottery game that allows you to choose different ways of playing. It is played in over 30 states, with different variations, but this page is specifically for the New Jersey game.
When do Pick 4 drawings occur?
Pick 4 draws take place twice a day in New Jersey. There’s a midday draw at 12:59 PM and an evening draw at 10:57 PM.
What time do ticket sales close?
The deadline to purchase NJ Pick 4 tickets is 12:53 PM for the Midday draw and 10:53 PM for the Evening draw. Any tickets purchased after the cutoff time will be entered into the next draw.

What is the Fireball?
The Fireball is an additional number that can replace any of the four drawn numbers. It is randomly selected after each draw - It’s essentially a fifth ball that you don’t have to pick but can use to your advantage!
How much will your ticket cost?

Can I enter multiple draws?
You can play up to seven consecutive draws if you select the Multi-Draw option on your play slip.
What are the odds of winning a prize?

How old do I have to be to play Pick 4?
You have to be at least 18 years old to play the lottery in New Jersey, including NJ Pick 4.
How do I claim my winnings?
For prizes under $600 visit a local New Jersey lottery retailer who will validate your ticket and pay out your winnings in cash. For prizes over $600 you will have to mail in your ticket with a claim form to:

How long do I have to claim a prize?
In New Jersey, you have one year from the date of the draw to claim your prize. The ticket will expire after this date and cannot be redeemed. Unclaimed lottery winnings will go towards state institutions and state aid for education.
